… time for a Look of the Day.

I have, again, been making attempts to clean out my inventory. So far I have sorted a lot of stuff, but haven’t actually deleted anything. So mixed results really.

Anyway, while digging through both old and new stuff, it all came together in this LOTD. The new thing of note, are the neko stripes. They are from c( Two Cats one Cup), which is a new store, so there aren’t many items for sale yet. It’s a collaboration between Ingkeu Soonkyu of Bobtails and Sei Minuet of Lemon Tea and is located on the floor above these stores.

It’s Bandana Day

… so remove your hair to show you care!

It’s the last day of Hair Fair 2012. So that means today is Bandana Day. The day when the people who have purchased bandanas from Hair Fair, will ‘Remove their hair to show they care’.

For me it was easy to decide what bandana to wear this year. A KittyCatS bandana with kitty ears on it? Yes, please!

As always all proceeds from the bandanas is donated to Wigs for Kids.

I’ve been trying to visit the One Voice Fundraiser. But so far without any luck, since the sim is pretty much overrun. Which in a way is a good thing, because that means lots of money is finding its way to Gala Phoenix’ legal fund!

Just another hoodie

… for A Million Hoodies in SL.

A blogpost by Fledhyris I read today, told me about A Million Hoodies in SL. An initiative started by Renoobed, that mirrors the RL Million Hoodie March. This began as a call for justice for Trayvon Martin, a protest against racial profiling, against racism in general, and a show of support for his family. The hoodie was chosen as a symbol, after some comments suggested that his choice of clothing was at least in part responsible for what happened.

So why am I wearing a hoodie? Many reasons I suppose, but the main reason is simple: a young person has died a completely unnecessary death. And no matter how you look at it, that’s just wrong. The reason I choose this particular hoodie is simple as well: it’s the most non-threatening hoodie design I could find.

Dressed in Somnia

A while ago I receive a note from Sanura Snowpaw, which said I was receiving a gift certificate for her store Somnia, so I could choose some items to review. I have to admit I was pretty surprised by this. After all I’m still pretty new to this whole blogging-thing. Not that I mind getting the chance ofcourse 🙂

For my store-credit I bought a pack of dresses (one of which I’m wearing in the picture) and a pack of tube dresses (one of which I’m saving for the next color challenge post). And to finish up my shopping, I won a pack of cardis from the lucky chair (that’s always nice).

Somnia mainly sells mix-and-match clothing, in a lot of different colors. But also jewellery, tattoos, houses and neko parts. And everything is very affordable, so it’s a very good place to pick up some basics.

One note about this dress: it is made from sculpties. So unfortunately it is sensitive to being messed up your AO.

Something antique preferably…hiss…

Hello world!

This was actually the default post that was here when I made this blog. But I thought the title was pretty fitting for how I feel right now, so I kept it.

*waves at possible readers*  Hello? Anybody there?

Anyway, readers or not, I should probably make an explanation here, about what this blog will be about (that’s what it said in the tutorial anyway). It’s very simple actually: this will be my own little attempt at a Second Life blog. I know I’m absolutely not the first to do so, but probably not the last either.

I will probably explain myself a bit further later. Right now I’m going to try and find out how all this stuff works. Hmmm I wonder what this “self destruct” button does…moves to click mystery button…
