… week 47 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

And for a change, I’m on time with my post! … I’ll try to make it a habit… Anyway, most of my outfit consists of stuff from my inventory. But there are also two new things in this weeks outfit.

The first is my necklace, which is one of the gatcha-items available at Unhinged. The second is my skin by LAQ. I used to think I wasn’t a fan of their skins. But after trying a demo of the new Saga skin, I changed my mind rather quickly.

Our vacation is now officially over, so I’m now busy catching up on chores. Like climbing mountains of laundry… my favorite hobby… Anway, because of all that, I’m late with this week’s color: another yellow.

… week 19 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

Wow, did I have a hard time finding this particular brown! And my search wasn’t helped by the fact I was hardly online this week. The reason for that was my husband, who began this week by smashing his foot into the corner of a loose ceramic tile. And then I had to run around all week to provide him with food, drinks, books etc. Okay, he had a nasty cut in his foot, but it wasn’t like his foot would fall off if he moved one muscle! Really, why do men behave like babies when they’re sick?!

But anyway, back to this week’s shade of brown… After searching a long while, I finally settled for this look. The only recent item in it is my skin. The rest has been living in my inventory for quite a while. So don’t be surprised if some of this stuff is no longer available.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

… and my attempt at wearing digi boots.

I don’t normally wear digi boots. Which, by the way,  doesn’t mean I don’t own any. Many times I’ve been looking at paw boots, thinking how cute they looked. But after buying them,  they somehow never looked quite as good on my legs. These cute clover-socked boots are the latest example of this. They are cute and well made, but… I guess I’ll just have to accept that digi boots are not my thing.

Anyway, they do fit the St. Patrick’s Day theme is was going for in this post. I might have overdone it a bit actually. But I thought: if it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing! So here is it, clovers and all.

Dandelion

… week 9 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

I did not like this week’s color. Not at all. Why, you ask? Because I do not like yellow very much and I absolutely hate dandelions.

Yes, I know they have a very cheerful color and those cute fluffy-looking seedheads. And I might feel like that too, if they didn’t take over my garden! Come spring, they pop up everywhere and if I don’t dig them out really quicky, those cute seedheads will make matters even worse. I swear, our lawn contains more dandelions then grass

But anyway, I’ll stop ranting, before I start foaming at the mouth.

Patina

… week 5 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

This week’s color is patina, which is apparently a word to describe a sheen on wooden furniture produced by age, wear, and polishing. Sounds to me like a fancy word for ancient dirt. But I’m of course no furniture expert. Patina can also describe a green/grey tarnish that forms on the surface of bronze and similar metals, produced by oxidation. Which obviously brings us to this week’s color.

I found this a difficult color to find, and I didn’t quite hit the mark with this dress, but it’s close enough. I combined it with a jewellery set by Sweet Leonard that I bought ages ago, but completely forgot about.

I also got myself a pair of G Field‘s new rigged-mesh boots. They are available in lots of colors, but my wallet made me buy only the black ones (for now). Luckily they come with a HUD to change the color of the laces and trim, so they are easy to match to different outfits. Even to a patina one.

…week 52 of Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color Challenge.

Week 52… it seemed so far away when I started this challenge a year ago.

When I started I was quite sure I would be finishing it (I can be stubborn that way). But I definitely didn’t expect to be blogging this last week. But I am, and it was absolutely this challenge, and the entire blogosphere it introduced me to, that can be blamed for that. Ofcourse that’s not all the color challenge means to me, but I need to leave something to babble about next week, right? Besides, I don’t want to get too emotional here. The challenge and it’s camaraderie was far too much fun to be writing this post in tears!

So what to say about this week’s look. Well, a friend of mine turned up in this outrageously cute Halloween outfit last week. I thought it looked great on her, but I couldn’t imagine myself wearing any of it. That was, until she turned around and revealed this black kitten dangling from the rim of her hat. It was part of the outfit, but I didn’t care. I knew I had to have that hat!

Paired with the traditional bits and pieces out of my inventory, this completes my last look for this challenge.

This week I decided to go for a completely different look. While doing my traditional dig through the inventory, I re-discovered this Cheshire Cat – set by Panda Express. And as it was the right color, I am now a Cheshire Neko. Smile!
