… week 52 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

So here it is finally. Somewhere between Christmas-diner and “oliebollen”, I managed to put together the very last Color Challenge-look. And I’m not sentimental about it, I just happen to be cutting onions.

I’m definitely going to be missing this challenge. Afterall, this blog has never been without it. So I guess I’ll have to be a big girl now and be a regular blogger all on my own… or find a new challenge… or start one of my own. Time will tell I suppose.

Pom Pom

… a Look of the day.

I’ve switched to using the Firestorm viewer and I seem to have stopped crashing *knocks on wood*. Still wondering what I did to anger the Second Life gods, but wow I must have really pissed them off!

Anyway, with my case of crashitus cured, for now, I finally had the time to play around a bit. So I made a Look of the Day, with some of the things I bought at Fifty Linden Fridays.

A word of warning about the vest though: it is NOT a rigged-mesh item (as I wrongly presumed). It’s actually as stiff as a plank, just so you know.

Cosmic

… week 42 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

This week’s color is called Cosmic. Never thought of that as being purple. Then again, that kind of thing has happened before in this challenge.

I’m a bit late with this post, because I was busy moving to a new parcel inworld. And ofcourse I only realised after ripping everything up, that it might have been a good idea to take my pictures first. *facepalm*

Cadmium Red

This week’s color is Cadmium Red. When I read that my first thought was: Oh yeah, red paint. And because both my parents are chemists, me second thought was: highly poisonous.

An early fri.day

… with some cute tank tops.

It had been a bit quiet around the fri.day store. The main reason for this was fri.day-creator Darling Monday taking some take off to learn how to create mesh. Time well spend if you ask me, because the tops that have been released recently are just perfect.

I think we all know the feeling, whenever we try on some new mesh clothes: is it going to fit and is going to be rigged well? In this case: yes and yes. I was especially pleased with how it moved with my av. Because despite my, admittedly, very active AO, the straps never cut into my shoulders or anything like that.

That said, fri.day will continue to make system clothes as well. So if, unlike me, you’re not a big fan of mesh, fri.day will still be an interesting store for you.

I’m also going to be trying something new in this post, by adding some detail pictures. I always try to keep my pictures as clean as possible, to give an honest representation of what I’m wearing. But with only one picture, some detail is obviously lost. Especially when it comes to jewellery.

So this time I’m also adding a picture of my necklace and ring. And of the cute little bows on the spaghetti straps of the top. Now are those cute or what?

After spending way too much money on last week’s outfit, I knew this had to be a “from inventory only” post. And the remarkable thing is… I actually did that! Yay me!

That I didn’t have to do any shopping, was actually a good thing, because I wasn’t inworld very much this week anyway. I was enjoying the RL sunny weather!

Look of the Day

… with some new stuff.

I tried to put a look together with some of my latest purchases. And this is what I came up with.

The dress is part of the latest coldLogic release. Those coldLogic-creators make beautiful clothes at a rate that truly makes my head spin! This release contains two dresses and two tops in a load of different colors.

The second new item is my skin. It’s the latest Dutch Touch release, called Esmee. It’s the first skin I’ve ever bought from this brand. I didn’t really like their previous releases, simply because they just didn’t fit my face very well. Esmee seems to fit me a lot better and I was amazed at just how different it made me look. But it’s a look I can definitely get used to!

… week 6 of the Alphabet Challenge.

And F is for feline! There, managed to get another cat reference in.

I’m really starting to like this challenge. Using all sorts of stuff from my inventory, that just happens to start with a certain letter, is forcing me to be very creative. Resulting in this week’s look, which I actually like. But it is very unlike the kind of looks that I would normally concoct. What proof do I have of that, you ask? Well, both the boots and the vest have never been worn. The treggings and the hoodie have been worn before, but only a couple of times.

Oh, one more thing about that hoodie… Should my neko ears be under my hood or, like i have them now, through the hoodie. Like pretending I cut some holes in it? I just can’t decide…
