Sorry for the blog being a bit quiet, but this winter’s viruses are still keeping me occupied. To be precise, I am feeling fine. But now the rest my household is busy emptying their stomachs, cat included. Really, the bugs floating around this season… it’s getting ridiculous by now!

Just a quick LOTD to show everyone I’m still alive! Not very alive, but a bit anyway. Because this week I was once again coughing and sneezing and all that loveliness. I don’t know what bugs are floating around this winter, but they are kicking my ass!

Sweater Cat

… a Look of the Day.

Lately I’ve been spending a lot less time inworld. This has happened before in the almost 6 years I’ve been in Second Life now. There are months where I spend loads of time online and months where I log in… and log out again. Right now, I log in, feed my (greatly reduced in numbre btw) herd of cats, read notices… and log out. Or SL logs me out, that happens a lot too.

Basically, what I’m saying, is that the blog might be a bit more quiet from now on. I’ll be around though. I’m still enjoying SL and blogging too much to say goodbye to it completely!

On to what I’m wearing. Well… it’s a sweater with a cat on it. I couldn’t resist. I apologize.

You might also be wondering why my tail is wrapped around my leg (probably not, but I’ll explain anyway). It’s a new rigged-mesh tail I bought at the SL Marketplace. It looks a bit weird when you’re simply walking around, but for pictures I do think it works. Especially because in the pose I was using here, my normal tail disappeared into the wall.

The tail comes in a black and a white version and it’s mod, so you can tint it. Which is exactly what I did.

I have, again, been making attempts to clean out my inventory. So far I have sorted a lot of stuff, but haven’t actually deleted anything. So mixed results really.

Anyway, while digging through both old and new stuff, it all came together in this LOTD. The new thing of note, are the neko stripes. They are from c( Two Cats one Cup), which is a new store, so there aren’t many items for sale yet. It’s a collaboration between Ingkeu Soonkyu of Bobtails and Sei Minuet of Lemon Tea and is located on the floor above these stores.

The Cat Lady

… inspired by pipe smoke.

I hate smoking in RL. It’s unhealthy, it stinks and apparently costs loads of money too. But SL-smoking has, of course, none of these problems. So I had no problem getting inspired by this japanese kiseru pipe.

Fellow-blogger Nicandra Laval used this pipe in the Panties for Luna photoshoot. But it was only when she posted her look on her blog, that I noticed it had a cat on it! And of course, if it has a cat on it, I need to have it.

Add to that some bits and pieces from my inventory and a newish Magika hairstyle, and you have a Cat Lady.

Panties for Luna

… a thank you post for Luna Jubilee.

After being our leader through two years of color challenge, we really couldn’t say goodbye without doing a surprise thank-you post! It was Eliza Quixote who got a bunch of us together for a photoshoot… in our panties… obviously. Because we all know Luna very regularly only made half an outfit for her color posts!

Madder Lake Deep

… week 51 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

Madder Lake Deep. My first thought on that was: Who, in their right mind, would call a color that?! After consulting Wikipedia, I found it’s a traditional lake pigment, extracted from the common madder plant. Lake is in this case not a big puddle of water, but a pigment manufactured by precipitating a dye with an inert binder, or “mordant”, usually a metallic salt.

But I still think it’s a stupid name.

I didn’t have much chance to sit down and play dress-up this week. So, I went with a simple look. Reason for this was my toddler, who was suffering from an ear infection, sore throat and new back molar. Hence, she was not in the best of moods and constantly demanded attention. So that’s why I spend most of the week sitting on the floor, doing jigsaw puzzles…
