And once again I’m late! Maybe I’ll finally manage to be on time at week 52…

Anyway, when I saw this week’s color swatch, I immediately had to think of this dress by Lemon Tea. At first I didn’t want to use it, because it’s not a new item AND I already blogged it last year. But it’s just to perfect not to use.

I didn’t just want to copy the entire look though, so I searched my inventory for some other items to accessorize with. And stumbled across this perfect golden-colored skin I picked up at Unhinged!

Hunter Green and Amaranth

… week 39 and 40 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

After all my computer problems and frustrations (read the previous post/rant for the details), it is now time for a big catch up-post. First up is Hunter Green!

I really struggled with this color. Nothing I owned was quite the correct shade of green. In the end I settled for this kind of grey/greenish sweater. Actually, every time I look at it, it seems to turn more grey and less green.

Oh well, moving on to Amaranth.

Weird color actually. If I stared at the color swatch for too long, it just seemed to morph from pink to red and back again, right before my eyes. Reminded me a lot of Folly, too.Which is why I re-used the shoes I bought for that color. (I know, baaad color blogger!)

Anyway, hopefully my pc will continue to behave itself next week. And I’ll be back on schedule again from now on.

I did some serious inventory cleaning this week. I even sorted all my stuff on color. (without going insane!) But that still didn’t result in any unmellow yellow outfit options. Apparently I’m really not a fan of yellow.

So I did some “sorting” of my group notices and went with this dress by coldLogic. It also gave me an excuse to buy myself another set of jewellery by Maxi Gossamer. I’d seriously love to buy every piece of jewellery at her store. But because of limited funds, I’ll just have to collect them slowly. One set at a time.

I go myself a little caged bird at Pose Fair. I’m not really sure why I bought him, he just fascinated me. Now I just can’t stop staring at him.

I listen to his singing all day long. And admire his juicy little legs… No, don’t worry, I was only kidding! I won’t eat him.

At least, not until I’m done “playing” with this bird I got for free…

Tea Green

… week 13 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

No, it’s not a drink, it’s a color. A pale shade of green to be precise. Actually, exactly the kind of color I would expect when thinking of a nice cup of green tea… okay now I need to go and get some.

But anyway, what am I wearing for this week’s color? I found this jumpsuit by Hucci, buried in the mess that is my inventory. I think it was a group gift at some point. With that I’m wearing a bracelet by Glow Studio, which was a hunt-gift. And a pair of shoes by Enkythings, which I picked up at Fan Limited.

I’m also wearing one of the first rigged-mesh hairstyles by Lamb. Now, I like the style and color of it (especially the color!), but there is a problem with the movement of the mesh.

Instead of bending along with me, it gets all these sharp corners. Now, I won’t complain to much, because to be honest I know nothing about rigged-mesh. So I don’t know if this can even be avoided. But I did feel a bit disappointed.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

… and my attempt at wearing digi boots.

I don’t normally wear digi boots. Which, by the way,  doesn’t mean I don’t own any. Many times I’ve been looking at paw boots, thinking how cute they looked. But after buying them,  they somehow never looked quite as good on my legs. These cute clover-socked boots are the latest example of this. They are cute and well made, but… I guess I’ll just have to accept that digi boots are not my thing.

Anyway, they do fit the St. Patrick’s Day theme is was going for in this post. I might have overdone it a bit actually. But I thought: if it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing! So here is it, clovers and all.

Those pants

… the pair that makes you look amazing, no matter what you throw on with them.

That’s how the coldLogic team describes the pants that are part of their latest batch of newness. And I personally think they succeeded. The fit of these pants is perfect and the details are amazing. Exactly for that reason I show both the front and back. (Well, basically I couldn’t decide which shot to go with, but you won’t tell anyone, right?)

Also part of the newness is the shirt I’m wearing. The good thing about the new releases is that you can actually wear the items together. Usually when I try to wear two mesh items, like a top and trousers, they poked through each other. But these fit nicely together, actually making mixing and matching possible.

After seeing this week’s colorswatch, I immediately thought of this sweater. But after that my inspiration ran completely dry. I had put a lot of my creativity in my Valentine’s post and I must have used it all up.

Joining Plurk this week, probably didn’t help my creativity either, because I spend a lot of time trying to find my way around there. Time I should probably have put into this post. Oh well, you can’t do it all
