An early fri.day

… with some cute tank tops.

It had been a bit quiet around the fri.day store. The main reason for this was fri.day-creator Darling Monday taking some take off to learn how to create mesh. Time well spend if you ask me, because the tops that have been released recently are just perfect.

I think we all know the feeling, whenever we try on some new mesh clothes: is it going to fit and is going to be rigged well? In this case: yes and yes. I was especially pleased with how it moved with my av. Because despite my, admittedly, very active AO, the straps never cut into my shoulders or anything like that.

That said, fri.day will continue to make system clothes as well. So if, unlike me, you’re not a big fan of mesh, fri.day will still be an interesting store for you.

I’m also going to be trying something new in this post, by adding some detail pictures. I always try to keep my pictures as clean as possible, to give an honest representation of what I’m wearing. But with only one picture, some detail is obviously lost. Especially when it comes to jewellery.

So this time I’m also adding a picture of my necklace and ring. And of the cute little bows on the spaghetti straps of the top. Now are those cute or what?

Rust

… week 26 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

This week’s color is called Rust and, unsurprisingly, it’s a kind of orange/brown kind of color. Not exactly the kind of color that made me think of a gown, but somehow that’s how my look ended up.

I bought this dress at the “Fairy Tales in 2012″ event. Knowing that pretty much everyone seems to be in love with the items for sale there, I suspect I might not be the only one wearing this particular gown this week…

Unmellow Yellow

… week 25 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

I did some serious inventory cleaning this week. I even sorted all my stuff on color. (without going insane!) But that still didn’t result in any unmellow yellow outfit options. Apparently I’m really not a fan of yellow.

So I did some “sorting” of my group notices and went with this dress by coldLogic. It also gave me an excuse to buy myself another set of jewellery by Maxi Gossamer. I’d seriously love to buy every piece of jewellery at her store. But because of limited funds, I’ll just have to collect them slowly. One set at a time.

Raspberry Glace

… week 24 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

This week’s challenge color is Raspberry Glace… now that color really made me go “meh”. I mean, what color is it supposed to be anyway? Purple, grey or is it just another poo-color in disguise? I just couldn’t decide. Not to mention the glace part. What is it and how do you even pronounce it?!

I really had no idea where to start looking for this color. So I basically just gave up and started doing the Mesh Around Hunt. Which, at some point, brought me to Ingenue.

As it turned out, they had a couple of items for sale that were more or less the right shade. But in the end I settled for this dress. It’s a bit too dark really, but you won’t tell anybody, right?

They’re Flared

… Maitreya‘s new mesh jeans.

I think we all know that feeling… That feeling of being utterly in love with a piece of pixel clothing! I have that feeling right now, because of Maitreya’s new Flare Jeans.

I was already in love with their skinny jeans. So much so that I even did the unthinkable and adjusted my shape for them! That luckily meant that the flare jeans fit me pretty much perfectly. And really, they’re awesome!

Comforting Dreams

As soon as I saw Somnia’s contribution for the Chic2 event, all I could think was: That is sooo cute! The mesh-sweater didn’t fit me perfectly (a bit too busty for me), but I just had to wear it.

First I wore the “comfort in the rain” version. I dug up some wellies and an umbrella, and tp-ed to Rainy Alley to shoot some pictures.

After that, I felt all cold and wet. So I changed into the “comforting rainbows” version, put on my comfy kitty socks and cuddled up with a good book.

The outfit contains both the sweater and the leggings. It comes in three different versions: rain, storm and rainbows. And each comes in five colours. Available at Chic2.

… week 23 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

Isn’t it ironic, that when you finally remember to start preparing your color challenge-look several days in advance (instead of Saturday evening…), it comes together without any trouble at all? I started with rediscovering the skirt and after adding some more stuff from my inventory, I was pretty much done.

The only new thing in this week’s look is my skin by Leafy, which I bought at the Skin Showcase. This was kind of a new-to-me store. I had already seen and liked skins of this brand on the blogs, but had somehow always forgotten to actually tp to the store and try a demo. Ooopsie

Dancing with Aleida

… new stuff and a Look of the Day.

I’ve been trying to clean out my inventory. But so far I still seem to collect new stuff faster then I can delete the old stuff… But anyway, while I was trying to sort all the new stuff into their designated folders (Yes, I do organise my clutter…) I figured I might as well create a look of the day with it.

So what is the new stuff of note? I’ll start with my new Pink Fuel skin, which is currently on sale at the Skin Addiction Showcase. That skin was not the only one I bought there, but well… that still needs to be sorted

Next thing is my dress by Aleida, which I got at their closing sale. This was actually a new-to-me store and I must admit I didn’t buy much. The designs were very well made, but a bit too haute couture for me. I did however pick up the past group-gifts (which are now free for everyone), which included this dress and a matching clutch that I didn’t wear here.

Another thing I got at a closing sale is my pose, by LAP. It’s from the Gettin Down on Friday-set, which explains the “dancing” in this post’s title. This sale has been running for a while and could be over any day now. So if you haven’t visited yet, you might want to start running!
