Shuttle Gray

… week 17 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

Second Life wasn’t very kind to me this week. For some reason I just kept crashing. I was determined to get another Pose Fair-post done, and after I finally did I kind of leaned back… and forgot about the Color Challenge *facepalm*. So I did the same thing I did last week: simply pick a store I hadn’t been to in a while and shop there. And that’s how I ended up at Beetlebones.

The pose I’m using is from a new set I got at Pose Fair. It’s from aDORKable’s “Carefree Dork” Pack. And I love the fact that every pose comes with a mirror version. Very handy!

When I was writing  this post, there was something that had me a bit confused. Is it grey or gray? This week’s color is named gray, but it makes my spell-check complain a bit. It also complains about color for that matter! So, grey/gray and colour/color… I’m confused!

To Eat or Not to Eat

… that’s the question.

I go myself a little caged bird at Pose Fair. I’m not really sure why I bought him, he just fascinated me. Now I just can’t stop staring at him.

I listen to his singing all day long. And admire his juicy little legs… No, don’t worry, I was only kidding! I won’t eat him.

At least, not until I’m done “playing” with this bird I got for free…

… week 16 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

I’m later then usual with this week’s look, but better late then never, right?

I tried a lot of different looks throughout the week, but in the end I just couldn’t find the right color in my inventory. So I decided to just pick a store I hadn’t been to in a while and shop there. And that’s how I ended up at Sakide this week.

Ofcourse I also had to use one of the new poses I bought at Pose Fair. This particular one is from skin&bones and is part of the Vain set. These poses are a nice addition to my collection of “model poses”. Afterall, you can re-use your old poses only so many times.

Pose Fair 2012

… it’s almost here. Are you ready?

Before I started blogging and taking pictures in SL, I really didn’t understand why you needed poses. And as a result I didn’t own any. And even with a couple of months of blogging under my belt, I still didn’t own very many. So when I heard about the third Pose Fair coming up, I decided that this was the perfect opportunity take make some changes and get myself some pose-material.

At that time, their blogger applications were still open. And after a bit of thinking, I gathered up my courage and filled in an application. This was a first for me, so I wasn’t expecting much. So I had a total YAY-moment when I actually made it onto the list! And that is how I found myself at the blogger preview… thinking: how the heck am I going to do this?!

So I did what I do best: shop! I did a quick browse of the two sims the fair has. I started at the North sim, which is the Family section. As expected I found loads of poses, but also AOs. Oddly enough I hadn’t expected that, silly me… The South sim has a Mature rating. There you can find the more sexually themed poses. But also poses that seemed perfectly PG to me, so do visit even if you aren’t looking for hot poses.

After all the shopping was done, I still needed a picture for this post. I had tried to snap a picture before, using the pose-prop that came with the blogger pack. But I wasn’t happy with the result. So I sat down on one of benches at the fair, and decided this would do: lots of info (when viewing the larger version of this picture anyway), while not giving away how the fair looks. I don’t want to take away the wow-factor when you first rezz there yourself!

Pose Fair 2012 will run for two weeks, beginning Sunday April 15th at 12pm and ending on April 30th at midnight.

I Wear Gray Today

… for the Wear Gray 2012 event.

I finally had a chance to visit this years Wear Gray for a Day event. This event is the ‘brain child’ of Sanura Snowpaw, who lost her RL cousin to brain cancer. She wanted to find a way to help raise funds to go towards researching a cure and to raise awareness of this disease.

Wear Gray has been running for a while already, but will remain open until April 22nd. So if you haven’t visited yet, you still have plenty of time to get over there and spends some cash for a good cause.

All the proceeds of the event will be donated to the American Brain Tumor Association.

… week 15 of the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge part II.

Another “looks like white, but isn’t quite white” color. A color that I didn’t manage to find. I settled for this darker white, a kind of creamy color. My windlight setting made my outfit even darker then it already was. Because I was struggling a bit, trying to take a picture of a nearly white outfit against a white background. I suppose I could have used a different background, but I always use a white background. And since I’m as stubborn as a mule… well, it just had to be white!

Oh and the kitten? Well, a certain “Siamese Neko” gave it to me, so I just had to include it in the picture. Thank you Rudh!
